The first class, the birdy and the premier plunge! I think they also had actual baths as well but can't really remember. Good pools though.

Quite right, Jane. I learned to swim in the Birdie, and only ever swam in 1st class for school gala events. A big honour! My swimming teacher was Mrs. Scales. The teaching method back then (the mid ‘60’s) was to tie a rope round the credulous kids’ tummies and pull them along ‘til they learned to stay afloat - literally ‘sink or swim’! Folks thought nothing of it! Much as I loved swimming, the place used to give me gave me occasional nightmares.
